Why is Aldi so cheap?

Aldi has designed strategies to make restocking and checkout much faster, allowing them to work with less employees than other grocery store chains. For example, produce, such as vegetables, are packaged together so you don’t need to weigh them at checkout. Also, the store avoids using brand names for the merchandise they sell.
